Taking the black-spotted blue butterfly—a rare species found in Denmark only on Møn of Møn as its starting point, the performance weaves its way through poetic portraits of women from different times and places.
From Maria Sibylla Merian to Frida Kahlo and Louie Fuller, we encounter people driven by curiosity, artistic vision, and lifelong obsession.
The performance unfolds as a collage of stories, dance, costumes, and transformations. The butterfly becomes both concrete and symbolic—an image of life’s fragility and humanity’s longing for meaning.
