HOW DO YOUNG MEN EXPERIENCE GENDER EQUALITY TODAY AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT THAT THEIR VOICES BE HEARD?
In this workshop, the Danish Men's Association invites young men into an open and honest conversation about gender, equality and the expectations that come with being a man today. With a focus on dialogue and active participation, we create a space where there is room for both reflection, disagreement and new perspectives.
The workshop starts with a personal story and moves on to a look at the conditions of men in Denmark – both those who are doing the best and those who are struggling the most. From here we open up a common conversation about topics such as gender equality, feminism and the concept of “toxic masculinity” – without pointing fingers, but with curiosity.
The goal is not to reach an agreement, but to get more men talking.
