Despite massive pressure and brutal repression, activists around the world continue to organize resistance and mobilize international solidarity for the rights of women and girls in Iran and Afghanistan. Women’s struggles for equality have historically been connected across national borders, and today civil society plays a crucial role in the fight against systematic gender-based oppression. The need for continued international support is urgent as women’s rights in these regions are systematically being eroded.
Join us for an engaging conversation where activists, an NGO representative, and a politician will focus on the global campaign End Gender Apartheid. Together, we will explore how we – as a society and individuals – can strengthen the fight for freedom, equality, and international recognition of gender apartheid.
