LECTURE WITH JOHANNE MYGIND
Author Johanne Mygind traveled to Lemvig to confront her family's toxic legacy. Her maternal grandfather had been the operations director at Cheminova and responsible for the biggest environmental scandal in Danish history: the poison depot at Høfde 42. The encounter with West Jutland was a confrontation with her own family history, but also a surprising encounter with a West Jutland that the people of Copenhagen ended up loving.

In the lecture, she talks about her own family's history, the inequality between city and country, which was a prerequisite for Cheminova's move to West Jutland, but also about what it was like to encounter the region that her grandfather poisoned.
