Old narrow-format films, cassette tapes and glass plates hold priceless memories of families, people and life on Møn. But time works against them. Films become fragile, magnetic tapes lose their sound and glass plates require gentle treatment to survive.

The Local History Association Møn focuses on this when the association invites you to Archives Day, where the theme is Digitization - preserve your memories for posterity.

Mini-presentation: When old images, films and sound become digital: At 10:30 and 14:00.

Working workshops: All day.

On the day, visitors can experience how an old 8mm film is digitized and transformed into a modern format that can be viewed on both computers and TVs. If you have a 8mm film lying around in a drawer or in the attic, you are very welcome to bring it along and hear about the possibilities of preserving it for the future.
