WELCOME TO THE OPENING OF THE MUSEUM OF DARKNESS
Saturday, October 10th, 2:00 PM-5:00 PM
Welcome to the opening of 44Møen's first winter exhibition: MørkeMuseum. MørkeMuseum is an exhibition for both children and adults about getting to know the darkness. To go into the darkness and explore everything that lies in the shadowy sides of the world and the undercurrents of consciousness. Everything that we can sense, sense and feel when darkness descends.
Entrance to the museum costs 50 kr for adults and 25 kr for children.
MørkeMuseum is an invitation into the dream space of darkness, where the boundary between day and night dissolves and where the world is turned upside down.
STORYTELLING
At the opening, Tina Corneliussen will tell stories about darkness,
and there will be an opportunity to buy hot cocoa and roast marshmallows over a campfire.
Storytelling will be free as part of our opening.
In connection with MørkeMuseum, we have slightly different opening hours in October and November:
Every Thursday and Friday from 15.00-17.00 and every Saturday from 11.00-16.00
During the autumn holidays we are open on the 10th, 11th, 14th and 15th from 11:00-16:00
The museum is only accessible via guided tours that start every 30 minutes, so there may be a wait.
The opening of the MørkeMuseum is an extension of the Mørke Festival. The festival aims to create a greater understanding of the value of the darkness of night through experiences, knowledge and community and inspire people to reduce light pollution. Behind the festival is a voluntary association and Dark Sky Møn.
