We are happy and proud to present the September concert at Paolo’s Jazz Club with the Norwegian trumpet player, Gunnar Halle.

This Summer Paolo Russo presented his new Scandinavian Trio with Thommy Andersson (SWE) on contrabass and Jeppe Holst (DEN) on 7-string guitar, as the culmination of his 30 years of music life in Denmark. Two sold out and widely acclaimed concerts at Jazzhus Montmartre, during the 2026 edition of Copenhagen Jazz Festival.

Both nights the band featured the wonderful Norwegian trumpet player Gunnar Halle, with whom Paolo shared his path at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory (1997-2002), in Copenhagen. This collaboration generated a renewed enthusiasm and ignited the idea of a solo-duo musical encounter at PJC.
