SAUNAGUS – THE SACRED SPACE OF AUTUMN
Autumn has settled over the landscape, and nature is slowly beginning to retreat.
This time also marks Sukkot, an ancient Jewish harvest festival with a focus on gratitude, protection, and the temporary space one enters for a while.
That will be the inspiration for tonight's saunagus.
We move into the quieter space of autumn with warmth, plants, darkness and presence. An evening inspired by the transition from growth to rest, from the open to the protected and from what we collect to what we choose to take with us.
The sea is a few minutes walk from the sauna, so there is the opportunity for a dip in the sea between the heat, before returning to the peace of the sauna.
